If am oral surgeon treats a patient negligently or with substandard care, or when such a surgeon fails to inform patients of the material risks of procedures or treatment used, and that known but undisclosed damage results, or when the oral surgeon  guarantess that a certain injury won't occur that does occur, and damage is caused, then that provider is responsible for the damage they caused.
