Mary Schultz Law clients Dru Hieber, Nancy Van Noy, Laura Skaer and Tracy Villaneueva will all recover their judgments from the verdicts and fee awards they obtained in their private club discrimination case through the sale of the discriminating Club in its Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization. The Club filed that reorganization in an attempt to avoid payment of the judgments and avoid an injunctions's terms, but the strategy proved fatal. The Club has now accepted a purcahse offer from the Kalispel Tribe in an amount which the Kalispel Tribe intends to be sufficient to cover the judgments and fee acccruals, plus interest, caused by the discriminatory practices. The Kalispels will run the course in a nonexclusionary manner for the benefit of the community.
